The Geospatial Data Act seeks to foster efficient, government-wide management of geospatial data—information identifying the geographic location and characteristics of natural or constructed features and boundaries on Earth. As required by the Act, we audited NASA’s collection, production, acquisition, maintenance, distribution, use, and preservation of geospatial data and reviewed NASA’s compliance with 13 agency responsibilities. Of the 13 responsibility areas, NASA has met 7, with 5 remaining in progress and 1 being not applicable.
